Bus transport mode is the best way to reach Mantralayam. There is a railway station called Mantralayam Road, but never tried this way of transport. Mostly the railway station is far from the city, but you would find auto rikshaws & buses to reach Mantralayam

Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple is ok to visit but the road to there is horrible unless u have a vehicle like scorpio or innova Autos and tempos which usually ply to there will toss u about People with back pain, Spondylitis, Heart problem, pregnant women should not undertake trip to panchamukhi hanuman temple. Journey to there takes 2-3Hrs.
