When I travelled through car, I must say this was one of the best experience of my life. The scene and the atmosphere was too good and I enjoyed the whole tour of South (Ooty) especialy by car. If I travel by any other way then I cant see the clean greenery of this place and perhaps I might not understand the value of Ooty. So, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride by car.
Taxi was good, car was well maintained. Friendly driver but some time he drives crazy in hill curves which scared me many times. But he was damn friendly and guided us nicely. Because it was my first trip to Ooty. He suggested many good spot according to our taste and acted as our living gps. The travels name is Coimbatore taxi..
We travelled from Coimbatore to Ooty and travelling by car via Kotagiri Route was the best. Morning time was the best. I always hired a car to travel to Ooty, since it's a hilly route and has many hairpin bends. Comparing the route via Coonoor the Kotagiri Route road condition was better. It costs Rs.1600/- to travel from Coimbatore to Ooty. Tourists should carry water bottle when they are travelling because it helps when they feel nauseas.
The experience was good. I have never seen such a beautiful place before in India. The best timings are in August and due to no rain it becomes more joyful. Hill point views and tea estates, were really enjoyable.
