I am a local resident of Gangtok and while traveling from Darjeeling to Gangtok you can see the beautiful river Teesta on the way, the mighty Kanchenjunga. The valley of Peschock, the beautiful valleys. It's very good as you go down and the roads are very curved and the good views. Dont forget your camera.

Lots and lots of narrow curvy roads along with forest trail hopping through villages. Very beautiful landscape and valleys along the way. Will witness lots of army campus. Very likely to encounter some traffic jam in the city because of narrow roads and many vehicles. People are patient and they wait till things are cleared.More »

I never expected that the journey would be so romantic as the roads are very narrow with deadly curves and cuts. I love the travel more because I spend my quality times with my life partner while travelling on the hilly areas following the river banks. On the way the food is not so good but eatable and expensive.More »

It was a very pleasant experience to travel to Gangtok as in the way you will never get bored and can see a lot of natural treasure. You will travel along Teesta river which is the best part of the journey. Before entering into Sikkim you will have to show your identity to prove yourself to be an Indian citizen which shows a very sincere administration.More »

The distance is around 110 km but journey by road takes 4 and 1/2 hours. The roads are not so good in September due to rains. The lakes and rivers are plenty and full flowing. In rainy season on the way to airport, please travel an hour earlier in case of any land slides and road wash outs. However the same is cleared in normally 30-40 min. Please carry extra food and water during journeys as a stand by arrangement.More »
