The journey from Delhi till Moradabad was excellent. There is Bikanerwala on the way where one can have break for refreshment or meals. Thereafter, there was traffic and the road was also not that broad resulting in more time. Good sightseeing on the way from Kathgodam till the Hotel.

Binsar – A Green Sanctuary
Binsar is a beautiful, peaceful travel destination in the Kumaon area of Uttarakhand state. This quiet destination is located within the Binsar wild life sanctuary. Legend has it that during the war between Lord Golu and the king of Binsar, the trunk and head of Lord Golu fell in Binsar. Historically Binsar was a summer vacation place of rulers of Chand dynasty who ruled the Kumaon region.
Things to Do
There is plenty to do in terms of sightseeing in Binsar. Visit the Binsar wild life sanctuary which was setup in 1988 and covers 45kms at a high altitude. This sanctuary was declared as an important bird region by the bird life international. It is identified to have around 200 bird species. Other attractions include Binsar zero point from where you can see the vista of the majestic Himalayas. The Bineshwar temple, the Mary Budden Estate, the Binsar sanctuary museum, the Kasar Devi temple, Khali estate and more.
As Binsar is a cut-off tourist hill station and a sanctuary region, there are a lot of limitations on the number of hotels in Binsar. Most of the rooms are booked in advance and it is relatively difficult to find suitable accommodation in summer season. You can find accommodation inside the bird sanctuary, outside the bird sanctuary and on Almora-Binsar road.
