Some tips that i follow: -dress very casually, usually in cotton clothing's. -do not hassle with the 'auto' drivers, most of the time they are very polite. -do not over eat or eat a lot of spicy foods through out the day. -if you can speak Tamil, it is definitely an extra advantage, even tough English is perfectly alright.

it is center place in tamilnadu and can be reached by air, rail and by road as well. trichy is a good place to visit and stay for few days for all types of tourists.
