The writer along with his spouse and 13-year son, had been on a trip to Dakshina Kannada. With the help of information from internet, colleagues, and newspapers, short-listed the places to be covered. Reached Mangalore by train from Secunderabad, and at the end of trip took train from Hubli to Secunderabad. Mangalore Railway Station itself is a tourist attraction depicting early-British look. Its old grandeur is untouched. With the help of a car spared by my friend, which was very well driven by chauffeur Manjunath, our journey commenced from Mangalore and safely ended at Hubli.

From Bangalore is it 365 kilometer there are many ksrtc buses and even flight so going to mangalore will not be a great problem if u have car then it may be even great and even there is train.
