you can take kathgodam express from Delhi (which is never on time ) and hire a cab from there. its a 3 hr winding drive so keep strips of avomine in case you suffer from road sickness. for the fortunate ones, just feast your senses on the lovely vistas. it is a year round destination but the best time to visit is between oct and mar when one is treated to the gorgeous Himalayan views and the cold weather. also being off season one can get good discounts at the best hotels also. for those who can't bear the bitter cold,avoid dec-jan and those who want to see the orchards in full bloom summer is the best but it will be crowded.

Ranikhet is around 80kms from the Dhangarhi gate of Corbett Reserve Forest, via Machod.If you are driving from Delhi, via Ramnagar, you need to add another 260kms (5-6hours) till Ramnagar. Another route is from Nainital, which is around 1.5 hours north via Bhowali which is around 12kms from Nainital, followed by another 45kms to reach Ranikhet
