The checking in process at Hyderabad is bad, with a lot of crowd, mingling with all the trolleys and luggage in the narrow pathway. The confusion increase when passengers with limited time to catch the flight is fast forwarded. This means we have to be presnt well before the check in time specified to safely complete all the formalities. Seat selection is an issue if you book through travel portals other than the Indigo site. Further all the seats seems to be a paid seat unless you check in at the airport. Security is equally bad, only one Xray machine and one security person for checking the passengers, even when there was a long queue. Sandwiches I had the last two times were soggy, and now I do not attempt have any thing on board of the Indigo flight other than soft drinks.
I wasn't allowed to check in at the airport cause I was 3 minutes late I. E 4:18 when my flight was scheduled to leave at 5! I had to book another ticket and I was provided no discount or any other asssistance later on. Horrible service. Never travelling with indigo again
I have a terrible experience flying with Indigo Airlines. The ground staff customer service executive (Urmila) was quite rude and arrogant. Since we were family of 4 (2 Adults and 2 Kids - 11 Years and 7 Years), we have kept two cabin luggage and one checked in luggage (after paying extra 200 Rs. As it was only cabin luggage flight. At the time of check-in, this representative was first of all not interested to do the check in formalities at the beginning, however as requested by her supervisor she agreed. She then asked us to weigh the cabin luggage and it was weighing around 10 and 11 Kgs. When I told her that I have two kids and for the 4 people I am entitled for 28 Kgs. Than she said that my other luggage is not a cabin luggage and insist me to check in both the cabin luggages. And the reason for insisting about check in the luggage is because then they can charge extra 200 Rs. For each check in luggage (because if was no check in luggage flight). After my insistence her supervisor took me to test the luggage size checking machine to show if my cabin luggages fits the guidelines or not. When I shown him that the cabin luggage fits in the machine properly as per the airlines guidelines than he agreed. However than this lady Urmila start emphasizing that I should remove the extra kgs from the cabin luggage and hold it separately. She forced me to take the extra 2 kgs (from each baggage) I. E. Around 4 Kgs out from both bags and carry it in hand. As I carried some empty clothes bag, we were forced to put the stuff in those bags and carry four bags (two original that we brought and two extra bags). During the whole process I was little upset and was talking to myself and uttered the word "Terrible experience" and "Pathetic" while removing the stuff from my bags and that too I didn't say that to her. Since she was not at all interested in completing the check in formalities she stood up and told her supervisor that her time is over and she will not complete the check in formalities. When her supervisor asked why she doesn't want to complete the checking, she said that the passenger is unruly and using the abusive language. I was quite shocked to hear that, because I was travelling with my family and I didn't use any abusive language except for my frustration on my self (using those two words only). The supervisor and Urmila (the ground staff) took it up and said that, as per their right they will not issue the boarding passes to me and my family. Since I had spent huge amount of money for my vacation and I couldn't afford to lose this ticket I had no choice but to say sorry. However they didn't entertained it and forced me to say "Sorry" atleast 5 times before she agreed to issue the boarding passes to me. However in between she didn't have the card machine, so she let me go to the another staff and issue the boarding pass. The whole incident was quite embarrassing for me and highly frustrating. I would like to take this opportunity to formally lodge a complaint against the ground staff representative Urmila and her supervisor (I can't recollect his name) to let me have this extremely bad experience flying with Indigo. I have traveled with Indigo airlines many a times, however this was the first incident where I had come across such a rude and arrogant staff. I would appreciate the feedback is shared with Indigo management and strict action be taken against the staff responsible. To add to my woes, the indigo staff has broken the chain handle of my only check in luggage. I got to know about it when I checked in into hotel. Picture is attached.
I went by Kachiguda MAQ express which starts at 6:00am with no late it reaches coimbatore around 3:00 in the midnight. So we didn't had a proper sleep so its better to choose the trains which starts in the evening like sabari, kongu trains. I travelled in sleeper class, seats are in good condition. We can get some good food in renigunta and katpadi when compared all other stations. They offer food we ordered veg thali which costs around 100/- in that we will get 2 rotis rice etc. We were accompanied by some young people so we didn't face any problem with them. My overall experience was good.
I travelled from Hyderabad to Coimbatore via flight. The experience was great flying 24000 Ft above the sea level. Airport check-in was smooth, At Rajiv Gandhi Airport you have many hotels and five star recreation, so it is easy to kill time. Take a cab to reach the Airport, it is the best commute and it is quick too. I pre booked veg sandwich for my kid and it was good. The hospitality of SpiceJet was great. I Would like to travel again.
I stayed at Coimbatore overnight, so that i can travel to Ooty next morning. The Hotel rooms is like studio flats design.
