Travelling tips from Hyderabad to Goa
We reached Goa from Vizag by train. While returning came back by bus to Hyderabad. Bus journey to Hyderabad some distant ghat road. So, people with motion sickness may have to take precautions for some time initially (till the ghat ends). We were there in June 1st week .. after 2 days monsoon started and we could not move out freely ..So this point may be kept in mind while visiting Goa.Read full review ›

Several airlines fly to Goa regularly. The Indian Railways also connects Goa to most of the major cities. Buses operate regularly from Maharashtra and Karnataka. Goa has much, much more than just sun, sea and sand!
Goa is accessible from Europe, usually via Mumbai or Delhi. Be warned though, you have to collect your hold baggage at the first port of entry. This can take time, particularly in Bombay, to transfer from International and domestic terminals even though they are on the same airport. A minimum of three and a half hours, preferably four is required to be reasonably sure of catching your connecting flight and even then there could be a hitch. I missed a flight coming back as I had to collect my hold baggage and transfer with only two hours forty minutes in hand which was definitely not sufficient time to transfer. So if the airline staff are not understanding or sympathetic you may have to pay for another ticket.Read full review ›
Goa - an eye-opener
Local traveling in Goa is expensive. You can go there in planes, buses/cars & even trains now. If you know how to ride a motorcycle, then that is the cheapest, fastest & preferred mode of travel inside Goa, as mobikes are freely available on hire. Be warned. My wife & her friend, both fell into the sea water while para-sailing, as the boat pulling the parachute ran out of fuel in deep water. There were no life guards/doctors/life-saving equipment, etc on the beach, though they did have life-jackets on. Finally, they were miraculously alive when brought on the beach after 30 mins, but in a horrific condition, raced to the ICU.Read full review ›
