On my journey from Hyderabad to Mangalore along with my husband and son by Indigo Airlines was average neither good nor bad as the seats of the aircraft was unable to adjust and on board crew we had Ms Farah from Mumbai and another female from Delhi I don't remember her name exactly they made our journey very comfortable but where I was disappointed is while serving the meals, Ms Farah had sold the chicken tikka sandwich to another guest on board ie I had pre booked 3 chicken tikka sandwich ie got only 2 . This is not the right way to do the service, even I am a hotelier and also had undergone air-hostess training, but we used to check prior in the list of meals ordered and cross check if we missed out any. I could have stopped Ms Farah when she sold it front of me to another guest but I dint want to create a scene, as I myself belong to hospitality background, being a senior crew Ms Farah needs to be aware of all the inventory . But again Ms Farah handled the situation smartly offering me complimentary choice of any other snack along with the veg sandwich, but still I kept quiet as she apologised twice for not offering the 3rd Non Veg Sandwich . . Above all the journey was average Thank you ,. Sumaiyya Tahameen. Training Manager. Country Inn & Suites By Radisson, Mani pal.
Travel plan upset little bit. Indigo sent a message 36 hours prior to actual schedule that the flight is cancelled and adjusting with other flight scheduled to change at Mumbai instead of Bengaluru . Due to this we reach Mangalore around 6 PM instead of 3. 30pm. Instead of adjusting like this it would have been much better if they adjusted our journey through direct flight. We may get our money back if cancelled our journey but difficult to book on another flight just one day advance. They need to address these issues in future. My entire plan is upset and post pined by 1 day.
Flight being delayed in connection is a pain. The airline should've at least offered to use their lounge. If nothing else maybe some recognition and empathy Overall I feel that jet is not equipped to handle a situation. Been up from 4am for the Hyderabad flight and then delay in the connection. Spice jet or indigo at least offered refreshments at the airport.
I like Indigo for its on time arrival departure. Staff is courteous and helpful. I feel sometimes they are stretched to the limit while serving the passengers on short haul flight. Feel that the Airlines should not have food/beverage service on a short haul flight's water can be served as a customary courteousness.
I could not avail Rs. 750 charged Indigo lounge at Bangalore Airport as the person there told me that this rate is only if I booked for the lounge at the time of initial booking, else the rate will be Rs. 1400 per head. If Indigo website makes this clear, probably I would have seen it and booked it during my flight booking period. Sometimes our flights are booked by the third party, then how could we avail this facility. Lounges during transit travel is very essential. Please make this facility more attractive. Thanks!
Mangalore is located at a distance of about 900 km from Hyderabad. Today, Mangalore is one of the major Indian ports and is well-connected to Hyderabad by road, air and rail. However, the best way to reach Mangalore form Hyderabad is by air, a journey of about 2 hours 30 minutes. Since there is no direct train from Hyderabad to Mangalore and the bus journey is very long, the most preferred travel option is by flight.
