Some tips that i follow: -dress very casually, usually in cotton clothing's. -do not hassle with the 'auto' drivers, most of the time they are very polite. -do not over eat or eat a lot of spicy foods through out the day. -if you can speak Tamil, it is definitely an extra advantage, even tough English is perfectly alright.
