Visakhapatnam is located at a distance of 620 km from Hyderabad. Vishakhapatnam, the port city, is well-connected to Hyderabad by road, rail and air.
However, the best way to reach Vishakhapatnam from Hyderabad is by road. The journey from Hyderabad to Vishakhapatnam takes around 9 hours and the main towns en-route are Hyderabad 57 km -> Choutuppal 82 km -> Suryapet 59 km -> Jaggaiahpet 74 km -> Krishna 60 km -> West Godavari 53 km -> Tadepalligudem 22 km -> Tanuku 62 km -> Rajahmundry 97 km -> Tuni 72 km -> Anakapalle 27 km -> Vishakhapatnam. There are several rest stops on the way. Petrol pumps, including Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC), are available at regular intervals.
The Indigo flights always on time! Its pleasure to experience the hospitality of well trained helpful crew! And travel in the fit and efficient Aircraft! The seating and ambiance inside the aircraft is excellent! Overall a very pleasant journey and I thank Indigo for giving such a lovely experience!!
I had travelled by Kaveri Travels between Hyderabad and Vizag by A/C sleeper coach recently. I am sorry to say that Kaveri buses are highly overrated. The interior is identical to the buses of Kaveri Travels. Kaveri attendant allows external vendors to get inside the bus, remove curtains inside coaches and sell food items and mineral water, although mineral water is served complimentary. The bus will stop for dinner at some lousy place where disgusting food will be available. The interiors are congested. Mobile chargers will work so long TV runs, other times don't. The driver drives rash and I was literally being thrown on the floor due to excessive rash driving. I will not recommend Kaveri Travels to commuters.
SpiceJet offers reasonable rates for budget travel and is quite prompt in its time management. Food offered is good and is reasonably priced. The staff is very co-operative and looked good. This is also a reliable airlines like Jet Airways. The service in all respects is commendable.
I booked a ticket online For Dhanunjaya Travels to travel from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam. The price of the ticket is very low when compared to rest of the bus services. Even there is a pleasant environment inside the bus. They provided the passengers water and some chips packets. Though there was a bit late in the bus arrival, it took me to the destination half an hour before the stipulated time of arrival. The care taker inside the bus is even punctual in his duty.
We drove from Hyderabad to Vijaywada, and then to Rajahmundry and spent the night there. The next day, we went to Annawaram and Simhachalam and spent the night in Vishakapatnam. The next day we went to Araku Valley and spent the night there. Araku to Srisailam and from Srisailam to Puri and den to Bhubaneswar and then back via Kakinada and we travelled 3000 km in all.
