Hired A.C cars from Jodhpur or Udaipur are available. Take bottles of mineral water and snacks for the road. Be careful about selecting the driver. Govt Tourist Lodge is the best place to stay, though hotels of various price ranges are available.

Its much better to travel by road from either Jodhpur or Bikaner. All these places requires a vehicle to commute as they are around 40 kms away from Jaisalmer hence to have a vehicle is always economical.
