Pushkar is situated at a distance of 142 km from Jaipur. One of the five sacred pilgrimage sites of the Hindu religion, Pushkar is well connected to Jaipur by road and train.
However, the best way to reach Pushkar from Jaipur is by road, a journey of about 3 hours 15 minutes by bus. On the way are several rest stops, ATMs, hospitals and fast food joints. There are also various dhabas on the route serving authentic Rajasthani dishes such as 'ghewar' and 'daal bhatti churma'

The road was good till Ajmer but after that it was not good as expected. But my driver was good and I passed my time watching a movie. I loved my trip and I will cherish these moments throughout my life. The food of the dhaba was spicy and I loved eating it.
Car travel is comfortable and convenient. The visiting places are crowded and conjusted. Ajmer Sharif or Pushkar, one has to walk about two to three kmp in crowded areas and must take care of self for personal safety. Gulkand is produced in Puskar and it is an attraction of purchase. Puja is performed at Pushkar Lake only.
We started from Pushkar in my own car. You can find six lane express way ( toll Road, 90/- for car) after 35 kms. The Best road of Rajasthan but no good road-side restaurants. Not a single petrol pump accepts credit/debit cards for fuel. Bus/Truck drivers drive very dangerously here. Nobody knows the rules. If you are not from Rajasthan, get ready for some cash for the greedy traffic police. Take care.
