You may get Bus from Esplanade either Govt Bus or Private Bus every half an hour gap.Volvo Bus services has introduced with AC facilities and it takes 3 hours times.I will advice everybody not to go in the deep water from the beach because due to under current it may cause danger & fatal also.

You can travel by Digha Duranto which is the best and leaves from Howrah. People in Kolkata also can take their own Car. A/C, Non A/C Bus services are also available from Kolkata and Howrah. No travel warnings as such.

your can find plenty of buses from esplanade, Kolkata..most of the buses to going in the morning...so many state transport bus service you can find. if want you can find ac buses also. but please dn't go by jaidada bus service. bus service is so poor. they are taking 300 for Kolkata to Digha. but the condition of the bus is not soo good. n try to book the bus form Digha to Kolkata form Kolkata only.if you book ticket after going Digha then they will charge more. if you search you can find other ac volvo buses. but please dn't go by jaidada bus service. you can find train from Santragachi (m not sure). but train service also there.
