The journey began in my Honda Amaze with my wife, my son and my mother in law. It was a nice cool morning on 16th October when we started off from Bangalore via the outer ring road and then take a left on the silk board junction to reach the AH43 and there after follow NH-7 through Hosur Krishnagiri Salem Karur Dindigul.

The road has many toll points so keep some ready cash (about a 1000/- ) should do it. The scenery is awesome and so is the road condition. The road has ample amount of roadside motels with clean toilets and good choice of food so don't worry about packing up too many things for your trip.

If you have 6 days with you, I would suggest: Bangalore-> Kodaikanal-> Kanyakumari and while coming back Kanyakumari -> Munnar-> Ooty->Bangalore.

That would give you a super glimpse of the amazing south India. So, what are you waiting for Diwali long weekend is around the corner pack your bags, fill up your tanks and get onto the road.

Must see on the way:
Yercaud: Lady's Seat, Deer Park, Yercaud Lake
Madurai Meenakshi amman Temple.
Kodai-Silver cascade, Dolphin's nose, Pillar rocks, Kodai lake.
Kanyakumari-Vivekananda rock, Gandhi memorial, Padmanabhan palace, Kovalam beach.

Travelling is always a favourite thing in life. We need to travel often to rejuvenate ourselves. We started from Bangalore and our destination was Kanyakumari. We had planned this trip for whole one week. We enjoyed the best of Tamilnadu heritage throughout.

One must travel South to know the people culture who lives very close to nature. The road throughout is awesome, thanks to Tamil Nadu government. We also been to Dindigal to taste the famous Dindigal biriyani. Our next stop was at temple city ie, Madurai. It is very rich city in culture.

Then we went to Rameshwaram we we lost ourselves to the scenic beauty of the place. Its heaven on earth. Finally we went to Kanyakumari and reached our destination! One must travel to Kanyakumari atleast once in a life to see the end of the great country India.

Bangalore to Kanyakumari is around 680km, and its four lane road all the way, and very well connected without entering the intermediate town or city in between. We had been to Madurai and Rameshwaram, so deviated towards NH-43 and East Coast Road (ECR). These road are also very well maintained, but on ECR you will not find much food spots, so better to pack down some stuffs on the way when you start from major town. But NH-7 has decent highway hotel on its way.

Low cost airline. Best service in that cost. That is the only service that is convenient to me. Only there is no food at airpost to have and waiting lounge is not good as ambiance concerned. Flight journey is good. No on board service no entertinement on board. Staff were cordial and with smily faces

Mode of Transport:Train
Travel by train was a great experience. However this train had so many stops but it gives a different experience all together. We saw small villages, different types and kinds of people from different culture and viewed cities like Cochin and many more on the way. Scenes in Kerala were very beautiful and all the farms, birds, few mountains and so many other things that I saw on the way will always remain in my memory and will always remind me giving a fresh feeling whenever I thought about it.
