Palolem is way south, an hour and a quarter away from the airport at Dabolim, Vasco, and about twenty minutes away from the nearest station, Canacona. The buses from Madgao stop a few metres away from the beach and are quite convenient, though uncomfortable. Carry insect repellent, and drink only branded bottled water. Be careful with the wallets and cameras for petty thieves are on the prowl at all times.

How to Reach: Palolem is connected to Madgaon by regular buses. The buses leave from Madgaon’s new bus stand. From Madgaon station pre paid taxis are available which drop you at Palolem for Rs. 700. Rickshaws are the best mode of conveyance once you are in Palolem or else hire a bike or scooter. Travel Tips: Stay at one of the many beach huts, which are operational from October End to May. Plenty of options are available from budget to high end huts. If you are not travelling in Peak season i.e. December & January then check out the huts for yourself & decide which one is best suitable to your taste.
