Mode of transport can be in different forms. One can find, rickshaws, auto rickshaws, Taxis and most parts of the city are covered with local RTC buses. Taxies can be hired and a very good option to have for sight seeing. Any part of the state is connected to Vijayawada with inter city buses and with trains. It is advised to not to go out during the summer before 6 pm since the temperatures are very extreme.

You can reach either by taxi/ auto and also by bus. remember if you planning on holidays then be sure of having reservation of return particularly for train journeys.
