Shoes compulsary, good camera with huge battery back up if you are a photography crazy person. Travel you can from anywhere in Rajasthan. Food is oily and fatty, need to keep watch on the calories. Do not shop inside the fort or palace, go to the local market if needed. Hotels are expensive for the quality, service and facility they provide. Food in these hotels are on match with 5 star hotels.

Beautiful city Chittorgarh
Chittor is 2 hrs run from city of lakes Udaipur. You can go by train or by car. i suppose train is the best option to reach chittor. For air travellers you need to take a flight till Udaipur and then higher a cab from Udaipur to Chittorgarh.
