Kolkata To Murti

The Darjeeling Mail is undoubtedly the best train from Kolkata to NJP from where you can take a car to reach Murti. The train is always on time and sometimes it reaches even before time.

The 3 tier A/c compartments were pretty decent with all facilities available like reading lights, charging points, etc. The staff are helpful and cooperative. The tea and samosa at Kharagpur Junction is probably the best part of the journey.

The train compartments were clean and the toilets are pretty decent. The chief staff is always around. The food available at the pantry are good and hygienic.

Overall, a comfortable journey.

We travelled by A/c first class and we found the train to be neat and clean. It left Sealdah on time but reached NJP 1 hour behind schedule .The toilets were clean during the upward journey and average during the return journey. This is a good train for office goers as it leaves @ 22.55 Pm and reaches NJP @ 9 Am.
