1) Try not to carry anything with you except a raincoat, water bottle and a torch.And if you carry a bit loaded bag, get a pitthu for it and bargain upto the extent.a pithhu takes around rs.150 for one base camp to another for one bag. 2) A few tablets like Crocin, brufin, Paracetamols and combiflame are must.Take a notch of them at everynight before sleep, even if you feel perfect. 3) Always mix Glucose or Electral in yr water bottle. 4) Have light food at every stopage, do not stuff yr stomach. 5) Carrying a torch and a raincoat is must. 6) Carry proper woolen stuff for sleep at night at base camps, you cannot bank upon the tent quilts. 7) Paint yr faces with a cold cream and sunscreen lotion every morning before you startup. 8) DO NOT Smoke at all during the whole trip, otherwise it would be very difficult for you to reach upto the cave. Don't spoil yr stamina. 9) DO NOT, DO NOT, and DO NOT consume alcohol, because an inch slip of foot can cost you yr life. 10) Tents, rate are fixed at every base camp, do not try to negotiate. 11) Carrying Gloves is must. 12) Carry camphor in yr handkerchief. If you feel breathing problem at higher altitudes, take a halt and smell for while and then move ahead. 13) Oil yr hair properly and always wear a monkey or woollen cap. 14) Always get a stick before you start hiking. it is always very helpful. 15) Just follow these tips and you will bless me like anything :)=)

One should be prepared for bad weather with raincoat torch etc. Pehal Gam route is good for going and baltal for coming. Instead of stopping overnight at shrine one should stay at panchtarni.
