Road is very Good from Puri. You will enjoy the Drive. It is hardly 1.30 hour from Puri. You can hire a Car from Puri for Chilka. Other wise Local Buses are available. From Bhubaneswar. Balugaon 96 Kms. Barkul 105 Kms. Rambha 130 Kms. Winter 17°C Summer 31 °C Rainfall 135.23 Cms.

There are three entrances to Chilka, one where we went (Satpada) is 60 KM from Puri, other is Barkul and Satpada. All these places have Panthanivas or YatriNivas. But reaching Barkul or Satpada will be easier from Balugaon on the Kolkata Chennai rail Track, instead of going from Puri. Wherever you go its better to stay for a day to see all the places in Chilka.
