Delhi - Chandigarh - Shimla (400 kms): You may stop at Hot Millions/Golfers at the Kasuali breakaway, then proceed to Shimla for the first stopover. Sangla is 6 hrs (220 kms) from Shimla. Alternatively, you can make a pit stop at Thhanedar, a quaint hill station in the midst of Apple orchards.

Carry woollens even if you are visiting during peak summer season. It tends to rain so carry wind cheaters also. Also carry muscle relaxers if you intend to trek a lot. We travelled by bus but taxis from Shimla and Rampur are also available. Daily buses run from Chandigarh, Simla and Rampur. It takes about 14 hrs to reach from Chandigarh.
