Kodai trip was peaceful and we enjoyed the sightseeing and climate condition was very peaceful. My trip was enjoyable for my family. Early morning we started at 7.00 am and reached ghat road at 8.00 am and we started our journey in the hills. My car was very comfortable to travel in the hills.

One of the best ways to see and admire the beauty of the Kodaikanal is going there by a car. On the way you can see and feel a lot of things. We always had a good experience during our journey. It was really wonderful. When we planned to go to the mountain area during the day we were happy. Because the night is not the perfect time to visit. Moreover, if you visit at night you would also miss out on the beautiful scenes on both the sides. If you are going by taxi or cab, ensure that the driver has a valid license and documents.

I drove my Alto K 10 and went to Kodaikanal with my parents. It was my first uphill drive. The drive was scenic and very enjoyable. The roadside vendors on the way offer good fruits and vegetables. However while returning if you plan to buy something always test the quality of the item before buying it as they may cheat you easily.

There is point from which the Silver Cascade Falls is visible very close to the ascent of the hill. On the way to Kodaikanal the Silver Falls is present. Then finally we arrive at the Kodai Lake. The roads are very comfortable to drive and the driving experience is enjoyable. However level of alertness and concentration must be maximum because a slight diversion may lead to a deathly fall.

I went with my parents to spend my study holidays in Kodaikanal. The room facilities were similar to that given in the resorts website. The bed was comfortable while the extra bed cum sofa was not so comfortable. When asked to make the bed, extra bed was not made so well. The television was...more »

I'm familiar with hill driving, so I did not find it a problem at all. But some of the drivers especially empty trucks are dangerous, speeding above 50 kmph on the down-hill stretches.
There are many shops with fresh fruits and vegetables. We bought some to carry home.

Since its a SETC bus, you should not expect a lot. But I liked the overall experience. As a newly wed couple we had a great time. We chatted and talked away for the entire length of the journey. Overall it was good. But, the service inside was not that good.
