Bad roads and too much traffic take the boat from Gateway to Mandwa instead which is comfortable, convenient and fast. The boat takes you to Mandwa and onward to Alibaug by bus. Both A/C and non-ac boats are available however is does not make a difference as the cool sea breeze does not make you feel hot at all.
We had booked the bus locally from the vendor and the service was very good. We reached on time at the destination without any problem. Also visit another beach which was very adjacent to the our place. Bus was in very good condition and had no problem.
We travelled by boat from Gateway of India. The car picked us from the jetty and dropped us back to. It was an Innova and the drive was beautiful. The greenery was lovely and the lovely fishing village has been transformed. The drive was enjoyable and comfortable.
Itís good for one day and night journey and travel by bus was good. I visited Kihim Beach on the first day and stayed there only. There were some sort of resort and stay was also available without much cost. The food was also good as it was like our home lunch. Alibaug Beach is nice and be secure and take your your return ticket by boat in the morning to avoid tension due to non- availability of ticket in the evening.
