Date: 03-05-2018. Place: Bangalore . . Hello With deep anguish and utter disgust, I would like to bring to your notice regarding the most unruly and unprofessional behavior of the Jet airways ground check-in staff and the air crew, Mumbai . My family, consisting of myself, my wife and two daughters aged 15 and 11 years, had just returned by Air France, from Paris to Mumbai, at 00. 05 am on 02-05-2018. My next connecting flight to Bangalore was booked for the 6. 30 am flight. I had specifically chosen this flight by Jet airways because of the timing and some gap between flights so as to catch some rest and sleep. This 6. 30 am connecting flight was much costlier compared to the earlier flights and I had got mid-zone economy seats for the entire family with comfortable seating arrangement . However during a casual enquiry at the check in counter at about 1. 00 am, I was told that the gates would only open at 3. But if required I could go ahead with the check-in formalities. I obliged thinking that we could go through the process of check in and then catch some sleep, as we were all very tired after a long flight. It was nearly 24 hours since we had slept. One of the staff then rushed in with a paper in hand and suddenly suggested we take the 3. 00 am flight to Bangalore for the same fare and no additional cost. She glanced at my confirmed flight tickets and said rest of it would be the same. In good faith I agreed thinking that I would be given a good service for the amount I had paid . My worries only started after I boarded the Jet Airways flight and got a rude shock that our seats were at the last row without recline and to add to it there was no cabin bag space above our seats. The air hostess very rudely denied any space for luggage stating that only emergency equipment could be kept above our seats. She dumped 3 of our bags wherever she found space and the 4th bag had to be kept between my legs in front of my seat. God forbid if there was to be a mishap, I was in no position to even access my life jacket. The same air hostess then guided the next batch of passengers who came in by the second bus trip and fitted all their cabin bags easily without a word about lack of space. In fact two cabin bags were so huge that they were even larger than check in bags in size. Does your airline not even follow some basic courtesies and discipline? Shame on this kind of service The last row seats were so uncomfortable because of lack of recline and because of close proximity to the heating ovens. We were literally sweating in spite of the air conditioning. When I brought this to the notice of the air hostess, she refused to listen to any of my pleas and was in fact very rude. Had I demanded for justice then and there, I would have caused the flight to get delayed and thus affected so many other passengers . I thus kept silent to avoid inconvenience to other passengers. At the end of the flight, we had got off with 3 bags and my younger daughter’s bag, which was kept by the crew, was not traceable. Since all passengers had already got off the plane, I wanted to go in and check for the bag. But once again the crew very rudely told me not to re-enter the plane. Now where is the question of rules for entering an empty plane and that too to look for my misplaced bag kept somewhere by the crew . I was subjected to such discrimination, humiliation and fraud by hiding facts regarding seat position by your staff, when all I had wanted was a comfortable journey . I have travelled to so many places all over the world by different airlines but I must say that this one was my worst experience so far. It was not just me but my wife and daughters also had to face so much of hardship and discomfort in spite of paying for a better flight way in advance . Your check in staff could have easily shown me the seat position details that they were in the last row with reclining seats and lack of cabin bag space and I would have happily declined the offer and continued peacefully and comfortably in my scheduled flight. It is clear that the check in staff hid these facts purposely so as to fill in the seats in the 3. 00 am flight. After getting down at Bangalore airport, the first thing I did was to complain about this incident to the ground staff. They heard my plight and agreed that I had been cheated very badly. They suggested me to give a written mail complaint at the earliest I demand for a complete refund for all 4 seats for the above mentioned reasons. I will not let the matter go unless I get complete justice no matter to which level it may go to. I demand for an early settlement and hope things do not go much uglier than they already are. Any decision to snub my voice or cover up the matter will only make matters worse and will then not only provoke a complete refund but also include compensation for mental and physical harassment and exposure of such pathetic service to the entire nation via media . I will not settle for anything less and hope to receive a reply and settlement within the next 48 hours Sincerely yours. Sarvesh Narasimhrao Desai.

Excellent service and staff were very helpful . Except we have had to wait for a long time in queue to board. Elders and women with children's had to wait for almost 45 minutes and the sign was highlighting that the flight is on time. Funny . Expect THAT. We had a wonderful experience . . Flight was very neat and clean. Staff were good .

At Mumbai airport the queue at baggage counter was so long that it was extending till entrance gate of airport. Only 2 airindia staff were open for more than 1000 travelers. Many missed their flights because of this. My travel was from Mum-BLR, but my 5 check in luggage were sent to Chennai instead of Bangalore. Later it was observed that the lady at Mumbai airport had done wrong tagging. Its ridiculous that the lady there was showing so much attitude and making such mistakes. At the baggage counter in Bangalore airport I came across many whose baggage were sent to various places. Some were left back at Mumbai airport. Even for me though there were 5 big luggages, in the system it was entered as luggage. This was informed by the Airindia luggage in-charge at Bangalore airport. I had an infant and I asked the supervisor and many others at Airindia counter Mumbai to help us for priority baggage drop, but they said their is no way they could help. I really pity the way Airindia works. They have already lost many customers and its still counting.

Hi ,. The flight earlier departure time was 8. 50PM when I had booked the flight. Later they changed it to 8PM departure. The flight actually departed from Mumbai at 8. 50PM and it was late by an hour. I am a Jet Privileged Customer, but I think I made a wrong choice of choosing Air India flight Thanks.

Apart from one very unfortunate flight, my travel experience with Jet has always been great. The hospitality and comfort make all the difference. The food quality had faltered in between. But the food now is excellent, again. Loved the before time landing and the courteous staff.
