Got to know about this place on TripAdvisor, checked the pictures and found it interesting and hence decided to visit the place. When we visited the place it was way beyond our expectation. It is spread in 2 Acres of land, the owners have not crowded it up and made each room exclusive. We...more »
We boarded the bus at Chembur at around 1115 hrs. It was a air conditioned bus with comfortable push back seats. It stopped on the way for 20 minutes for refreshments and reached Lonavala junction by 12:45 hrs. The bus did not go inside the Lonavala town and dropped us on the road side at the junction. We had to hire a auto rickshaw from there to reach the Sterling- Under the Over.
We were in Lonavala during last week of May this year but once we were there, we could very well understand that it was a mistake. The climate as well as all the view points can be enjoyed during or immediately after the monsoon. We landed there when the temperature was above 40 deg C....more »
A great driving experience on the Mumbai Pune expressway right up to Amby Valley !!! On the way we also made a pitstop at the famous Dutt vada pav wala. Once you enter Lonavala you might hit some traffic at the Kumar resort junction if it's a weekend. But the drive up to Amby is beautiful.
I have been a regular visitor at Fariyas Resort in Lonavala. I prefer taking a cab since it avoids the hassle of driving on the route which is crowded on weekends.
I looked up online for "Mumbai to Lonavala Taxi One way" since I wanted to travel on friday and return on sunday, and I came across multiple websites. The intercity cab business in India is improving quickly, as on earlier trips I have chosen to travel by my own car since cabs used to be too expensive. I compared fares on various websites and I chose to use onesidetaxi, since their website looked really professional and they were offering me the best fare.
Just like their website, their booking process was also extremely professional and I did not have to call them even once to confirm the booking. It was a hassle free process on their website and I received an instant confirmation from them. They even sent me the driver's details in time so as to enable me to communicate with him.
I had only requested a regular sedan, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the free upgrade to a corolla altis. The driver was extremely friendly, and the car had an excellent music system with bluetooth music as well as GPS navigation.
I had an excellent trip and I would recommend onesidetaxi to all holidayiq travellers.
Mumbai is the place where you have many ways to travel to your destination. One of the best way which I have travelled to Lonavala was this AC bus. It has a push back seat and it also has a TV. The seats are properly maintained and the AC was quite good. One can enjoy this ride. This travel also provides Mumbai darshan.
