Coonoor - A blissful getaway
How to reach: From Coimbatore, take a taxi/rented car/bus and the 2 hour journey is scenic. From Bangalore, it is considerably longer (about 7 hours) and can be done by car or bus. Travel Tips: Only for travelers who like secluded spots and appreciate Nature. Peak season , also the best time to visit, is April-May. Monsoons are heavy and winters are pretty cold. Warnings: People with pollen allergies and lung problems may not want to visit - due to the abundance of greenery in Coonoor.

Coonoor- Misty Mountains
April and May are the best months but carry light woollens. Heavy woollens at all other times. It can be a damp place so be careful if you're asthmatic or prone to allergies. May is the Fruit Show season. June is when the rains start in earnest and can be very heavy.
