Dalma is a Forest Reserve and a trip to it requires prior planning as it requires a night stay at a forest bungalow near the hill top to make your trip worthwhile. One can see the confluence of the Subarnarekha and Kharkai rivers as broad silver streaks in the sun. At night, sitting on the verandah of the Tata forest bungalow, one can view the lights of the city and spy the periodic bright orange glow of hot slag being discharged from the Steel factory.
