It was really an awesome experience to travel by car from Mysore to Coorg. It took almost 2 to 3 hrs to reach the resort. Driver was really decent and drove very well. Cab driver also acts as a guide. Only worst part is they took only some place than expected.
I took the road to Coorg. We had just finished a short holiday in Mysore. We had expected another boring drive to the Kadkani Resorts in Coorg. But the actual drive was simply breath-taking. We drove deep down into a valley. That valley itself was in a thick forest. Though the drive was lonely and sometimes scary, it was like driving in another world. You cannot get closer to nature than this. There is simply wilderness on both sides for miles and miles. Make sure your tank is filled up. Do nights drive if you enjoy being spooked?
Road was very nice, prefer SUV better for travelling to Coorg district. Dhabas or restaurant is not good. Coorg district is to be visited during Dussehra festival season. Hotels and food quality is to be improved especially for vegetarian tourists.Road was very nice, prefer SUV better for travelling to Coorg district. Dhabas or restaurant is not good. Car Journey is wonderful in this way, during day time. Though its not a broad way it is better to travel in day time since it is not a two way. And during night time it will be somehow difficult to drive the car. But you will get many petrol pumps and hotels.
The over all experience is very good and pleasant. The fellow was also kind and helpful in providing the information. Travelling by car is better option as there are multiple of places to see on the way like the Golden temple, Dubare forest, Nisarga dam etc.
