Be careful to return back from hills before 11.30pm if stay is made in foothills, as movement of vehicles restricted after 12 from hills. You will be put up on road till 3.30am. So PLEASE make your trip to foothills atleast before 11.45pm.

Srivari Padaalu has steep climbs, so dont take your small cars, better hire the local Jeeps... The local Jeeps can also take to all the places mentioned by me at Rs.100 or Rs.150 per person. You want a exclusive jeep for your group be ready to shell our Rs.750 to Rs.1000 Chennai city is the next nearest Airport to Tirumala and car hire from this city is much cheaper and reliable, making it obvious choice as the airline fares to anywhere from India to Tirupati Airport will be at least double the cost of airfare to Chennai + Car hire from Chennai.
