Agra is located at about 197 km from Delhi. Agra is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh and is well-connected to Delhi by roadways and railways. However, the best way to travel from Delhi to Agra is by car, a journey of over 2 hours via the new Yamuna Expressway. The six-lane expressway covers 165 km. Some of the important places covered on the way are Delhi - 30km -> Faridabad - 60km -> Hodal - 55km -> Mathura - 52km -> Agra. The experience was good. The road to Agra via Yamuna Expressway is brilliant. There are fields on both sides of the road and since I went in December, the weather was superb. In case you want to visit Taj Mahal and you are staying in Delhi, I would recommend you take any tours to Agra, Mathura and Vrindavan.
