Although its a long trip from South India to Delhi, the big layover in Chennai and it's horrible. SpiceJet offers a connection to Delhi at Chennai with a layover of 5 hours, its disgusting for many but with many friends, I managed to take a short trip in and around Chennai and report back to airport on time.
Booking details said single flight from CCJ to DEL with 1 stop at Mumbai. On journey day, had to change flight at Mumbai. The transition was not smooth, took almost 2.5 hours. I was unfortunate not to get food as most of the paid meals in flight got over by the time air hostess reached my seat. I have travelled in Indigo before, and this is the first time I am experiencing difficulty. May be one bad day.
Air India is the best. Even the travelling timing from Calicut to Delhi is at a comfortable timing; afternoon. By the time you reach Delhi, it will be nightfall and the sky looks quite pleasant.
I have travelled with every airlines, but Air India still seems to be the best. The crew members also doesn't try so hard, but just work normal as one should be. The prices of Air India are however always higher than other airlines, but I just feel, its worth paying it.
