Mode of Transport:Flight
The trip was good. Important part is the seat and the space to keep your leg. There was enough legroom and it's very essential for tall guy like me. Timing was superb. During 10:50 am to 11:20, I reached in Bangalore from Pondicherry. It was 2/2 seated flight. I would recommend to fly with spicejet. Hope this may be helpful.

The flight was delayed by two hours and the intimation was just two hours before departure! The delay resulted in skipping lunch, which the flight was supposed to provide due to its delay.

I travelled by KSRTC bus(Rajahamsa). It was quite comfortable. I am travelling between Pondicherry and Bangalore quite frequently, almost once or twice in a month. I travelled by all types of buses which runs by different organizations, government as well as private. I have used buses of Karnataka(KSRTC ), Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry governments, these including ordinary buses, delux, ultra delux, and AC buses. But I felt Rajahamsa is the best option, as these are quite comfortable and cheap also compared to AC(Volvo) buses. Ordinary bus are very cheap but not advisable for a long journey. On-board entertainment, blankets and water is provided in AC Volvo buses only. So if anybody ask, I will advice for Rajahamsa only.

Mode of Transport:Car
We were two families in the car, 4 adults and 2 children. The drive till Krishnagiri is amazing. Once you turn off the highway and head into the road via Thiruvannamalai, the jumpy bumpy road greets you. It is a single road from the turn off highway and riddled with potholes. There are villages and towns you pass where you can buy stuff like water, juice and snacks. The major stop for refuelling your stomach will either have to be Chengam (average food) or Thiruvannamalai (pretty good food). At some places, you'll need to ask for directions.

Being avid riders and drivers, having covered a lot of country roads, we found it kind of interesting rather than boring. We stopped at local chai shops, had conversations with the local people and then continued.

Overall, a fun drive, but those not used to driving the winding country roads might find it boring.
