In the last month I went to Aurangabad for enjoying my holidays. First I went to Khutdabad and its 25 km from Aurangabad. There is a very famous Bhadra Maruti Temple. We had the darshan and then visited the tomb of Mughal king Aurangzeb. Then went Ghrushneswar Mandir, Shrikhetra Maheshmal – Khutdabad and visited balaji madir and finally Vellore Caves. It was a very nice experience.
MSRTC has done a good job by providing volvos on this route. Its an efficient way to reach Pune. Need to take care of cleanliness at bus stand. It is mostly on time and stops at smile stone which is a perfect stop over point. Bus schedules need not be changed abruptly. It has become highly popular service.
The experiance of traveling with best buddy is always blasting, its one of the great journey of my life enjoyed a lot with friends. Actually went to attend one conference held at Le Meridien hotel in the month of June. The conference were one of the boring but the travelling experiance to and fro were excellent. Hope in future will go for even long drive.
Aurangabad to Pune is a nice highway and you enjoy driving on most part of your journey. Though the undisciplined driving (always driving in fast lane) is one of the major concern in Maharashtra but you get used to it after some time. On the way, there are few places like Ahmednagar where driving is a nightmare and Wagholi where you will always find traffic jam as the local vendors use the highway as their stalls but you will need to bear with this.
