We went there by bus from Pune, because we don't have our own vehicle and we belongs to average family so couldn't book special luxury for our journey. So we took Swargate to Mahabaleshwar bus for this journey which was not bad. Thank you very much for everything.
Journey was safe and pleasant by our own car; we also visited Wai, Menawali and Panchgani on the way to Mahabaleshwar. Ghat section was also well-maintained. Only at certain places, road was in bad shape. Most of the points and temples we covered during 3 days journey.
The ghat section is very very beautiful, the journey was an experience in itself, we enjoyed it to the fullest :) you'll get to see a number of falls on the way, Wai and Panchgini are also enroute to Mahabaleshwar, stop and visit them. Panchgini is also toooo beautiful :)
Took the Pune-Satara highway, I started at 9am in the morning, there is lot of queue at Toll Plaza, almost lost 30 minutes stopped at Balaji temple near Narayanpur on the way, it is very neat and clean. The temple is in the middle of the mountains, it is very peaceful devotional place. I had stayed around 1 hour at the temple and then started to drive towards Mahabaleshwar. Need to take right turn at Wai, don't take new flyover, rather keep left on the highway (simply follow the Wai signages and then start follow the Mahabaleshwar signages). The whole route has lot of scenic views, stopped at some view points of Panchgani and Mapro garden, reached the resort in the evening.
