It was the best moment in my life. We visited many hotels on the route. We got many facilities on the way from Pune to Shirdi. We were saying Sai Baba prayer in the car. We didnít have any problem while travelling. The road was good and not much traffic on the road. Good environment, we relaxed at many good places on the road. We took our tiffin and stopped in one farm house of my friendís and took lunch there. Enjoyed driving car very softly and it was a very good moment.

We took Neeta Volvo bus to travel to Shirdi. Bus ticket price was very reasonable and it had very good AC facility. It didn't take too much time to reach Shirdi. We reached Shirdi in 4.5 hours from Shivaji Nagar, Pune. Bus stopped at restaurant during the journey. Restaurant was good and food was great and less expensive. Overall a very good experience.

Every time I have visited Shirdi in last five years, I have always visited my brother and bhabhi in Pune. Stayed with them for a day or two and then made my plans to visit Shirdi along with my brother.

We started our journey by car at 7.00 am in the morning to avoid the office going traffic and ensured that we reach the famous vegetarian restaurant in Ahmednagar 'The Smile Stone' by 9.00 am for breakfast. We took our first break to stretch legs and with filling our stomach with some good Maharhi breakfast such as mesal pav, poha, etc. Don't miss out on the sabudana wada and kothambir wada, its delicious and ended with a strong South Indian filter coffee to revive us for the rest of our journey.

Then we headed straight to Shirdi without any break, the bi-lane road shift to single lane 50 kms ahead of shirdi. So instead of two hours it takes around three to four hours depending on the traffic in the single lane stretch. Once you reach Shirdhi, there is paid parking lot opposite to the temple entrance. Please ensure you leave your mobile and camera in the car and as they are not allowed inside the temple. Since we arrived at 12 noon and the noon aarti starts at 12.30 we had to wait as the doors are closed.

We enter the queue at 12.30 pm and wait for an hour for the door to be opened post aarti. The queue starts moving at 1.30 pm and we reached the main shrine by 2.30 pm and after having the darshan we stepped out and proceed towards the donation center right outside the main hall. On each donation you receive the scared ash packets as blessing and the donation receipt. We reached the parking lot by 3.30 pm and after having a great darshan. (Don't miss! you get a packet of ladoos as prasadam while on the way for the darshan)

Then we headed to 'Sun and Sand' Hotel for lunch and refreshed ourselves in the lobby restroom. We started our journey back to Pune at 5.00 pm and finally reached the destination at 9.00/10.00 pm depending on the traffic.

The entire travelling experience was very smooth and road was in good condition. Try to plan your travel in such a way so that you can reach Shiridi around 11 am. Every hotel check in and check out in at 11 am. The road have lots of dhabas and restuarants. So you can get down and fill your stomach and again get on with your journey.
