Several airlines fly to Goa regularly. The Indian Railways also connects Goa to most of the major cities. Buses operate regularly from Maharashtra and Karnataka. Tips: The monsoons (June-Sep) are not a very good time to be visiting Goa, as the tides are high and it is very risky to get into the beaches.

Goa has much, much more than just sun, sea and sand!

Goa is accessible from Europe, usually via Mumbai or Delhi. Be warned though, you have to collect your hold baggage at the first port of entry. This can take time, particularly in Bombay, to transfer from International and domestic terminals even though they are on the same airport. A minimum of three and a half hours, preferably four is required to be reasonably sure of catching your connecting flight and even then there could be a hitch. I missed a flight coming back as I had to collect my hold baggage and transfer with only two hours forty minutes in hand which was definitely not sufficient time to transfer. So if the airline staff are not understanding or sympathetic you may have to pay for another ticket.
