Do take caps and sun glasses even if u are visitng goa in december and it is very hot during the day time. the konkan kanya express from mumbai is a good train to be boarded from mumbai, as it plies daily and runs in the night so the journey is not so tiresome.

There are not many convenient flights. The airport needs uplifting. If you don't have your lunch well in time in Panim itself, you might have a tough time at the airport. The toilets are no good.

For some excitement, you can skim over the River Mandovi on hovercraft, or try the pedal boats and aqua bikes at the Dona Paula jetty (Panaji), Ourem Creek at Patto, Panaji and at the Mayem Lake.
