You can reach tirupati by air, by train or by bus. donot reach in the weekend or during summer or january or october vaccations when there will be huge crowds except if you are interested to see Brahmotsavas annual festival of lord venketeswara when the crowd will be huge.

Tirupati and Chennai Domestic Airport are the closest from Tirupati Town. Flights from Pune, Kolkatta, New Delhi, Mumbai etc are cheaper to Chennai than Tirupati Airport. Hire a car from Chennai Tata Indica @ Rs.3650/- for One Night and Two Days Toyota Innova @ Rs.6610/- for One Night and Two Days
