Mumbai is located at a distance of 344 km from Surat. Surat, popularly known as The Silk City, is well-connected to Mumbai by road and rail.
However, the best way to reach Surat from Mumbai is by train. The major stations covered are Surat, Borivali and Bandra Terminus in Mumbai. The journey can be completed in less than 4 hours.
I visited Mumbai via train i.e. Karnavati Express. The journey was very pleasant. The train provided memorable views during the journey. The train is clean so one can easily travel for long time. The toilets of the train are very clean so the passenger shall not have an issue. I had ordered food in the train and it was very tasty. The good thing about the train is that the train is not over crowded so one can easily travel. Overall a very good experience with the train.
It's was good traveling by road, the highway was very good and also all the facilities like dhaba and petrol pumps are easily found. In May month the traffic is there but the roads are clean so it’s easy to ride and Mumbai is a metro city so more facility was available on its road including traffic.
Nice experience in the train as going with friends is more enjoyable. The train is fast so time passes easily and the facilities are good. The AC chair car is very good to travel and the accommodations are also very nice. It’s double decker train so sightseeing is really nice.
Travelled by two tier AC, accommodation was good, train always run on time, train breakfast to be improved, from last ten years. Same menu is running within train. Bedding was good, toilets needs to be improved and cleanness to be checked. I found travelling with this train is more time convenient and comfortable journey.
