Shorts are not allowed even under the dhotis, so beware of the guards at the entrance trained to see what you are wearing!!!! Women can wear sarees or long skirts, but salwar kameez are not allowed. Only small-sized purses are allowed inside the temple, so it is better to leave your mobile and cameras at home. However, the good news is that, if you are caught unprepared, there are cloak rooms to keep your valuables, and even dhotis on hire are available. So, go ahead, and enjoy a vacation in the capital of God's own country!!!
