From Trivandrum, Kerala we traveled by weekly train [tue] gandhidham express which dep: 0315 pm & arrvied at Murudeshwar 0745 am [ wed ]. We stayed at rns high way hotel, 800 mts: away from - left - of rly station. very good rooms -double room tariff rs 750/day rs 150 for extra bed. very good & gentle service. ffrom there we went to mookambi, kollur [75 km] by engageing tempo van.

Reaching by any train between Goa and Kerala is cheaper and time-saving. Take auto from railway station and reach the temple. Budget hotels are available near and just below the temple, and even on the temple hill ranging from 1,500-2,500 INR, hence it is cheap and best.

From Bangalore, travel by Yeswantpur-Mangalore day time train is recommended to have a beautiful journey over Western Ghats through numerous tunnels.Mangalore to Murudeshwar journey can be made by either train or road.
