it is better to travel by own car but if required the hotel also arranges for taxi.You can also catch the train from Kalka station till shimla and from there You can easily take a taxi to Gallu Resort

While going from Shimla you will find several youths who will represent themselves as local guide. Don't believe them as they are the agents of the donkeywalas at Kufri and will accompny only till base point. They will introduce you to any donkeywalas and take commission from them. Don't hire any donkey. They are just waste of money. Donkeywalas are cheat and sometimes they are even dangerous (I had to cal local police when I visited Kufri last time. Local police is quite helpful). Just walk up the hill, its more entertaining than riding dolkey.
