The best option is to get to Bangalore and then drive down (5 hours). Alternatively reach Mysore and drive a shorter distance. Another option is to get to Mangalore and then drive down.

The place is reachable on road. Its 70 kms from Mysore on the road leading to Kerala. The road network from Bangalore to Kabini is very good except for the last stretch of 15Kms which gives you impression of passing through wilderness. Warnings: Do not wear bright clothes. No usage of loud music.
