Best way to reach Alibagh is by road with own vehicle. The vehicle is a must for the getaways to the various beaches. During summer vacation boarding in ac rooms is essential due to mosquitoes. Lodges are easily available. Boarding with locals at their cottages (approved by MTDC)should be tried any review on the same.

Approx. 3.5 hours from Pune. We preferred the old Mumbai-Pune highway. Having food at the Toni Da Dhaba was an added attraction. Non vegetarians would just love this Dhaba. The prices although are as much as that of a good restaurant. The feel of a Dhaba is very much there. For some time we felt we were in our very own Punjab.

Alibaug is 40min ferry form Gateway where they drop you to Mandwa Jetty and from there the Ferry service has there to go go to city. The other option is roadways where it takes 3-4hours drive from Mumbai. Traveling by ferry is convenient and fun as well. But the ferry's don't work inn the rainy season so people have to cum by there own cars or the St service buses.
