Our travel path was from Pune to Kolhapure to Belgaum to Dharwad to Dandeli to Anshi Nature Camp. There are few other routes as well like Belgaum to Dandeli directly. Or one can also drive from Panjim (Goa) to Anshi Nature camp or Dandeli. Whichever route you take you are bound to enjoy the drive through thick forest. The roads are narrow but in pretty good condition. There are lots of turns so better to drive slowly and enjoy the beauty around.

Dandeli is approached by motorable road (isolated) on the state highway which connects Belgaum to Goa, the nearest rail head is some 15/20 km away, and not much of local transport. Book in advance as only few good hotels. The KTDC hotels are good too. Carry all your emergencies / first aid and some dry food which will come in handy.

From Bangalore you can take train till Alnavar(its the closest railway station to Dandeli-30km)... ......for local travel you can hire a jeep it will cost Rs.1500 per day.....best time to visit is Jan-Feb.........
