We are based in Bangalore and had won a holiday as part of some promotion. We had 4-5 options to choose from and we decided on this resort because it was the closest. Also, we weren\'t actually hoping for something great since we hadn\'t heard of Hassan as a tourist destination, leave alone the resort. So, we were throughly awed by the resort right from the moment we set our eyes on it. First thing we noticed was the excellent natural surroundings that these people have managed to maintain so well. The trees, plants and flowers will just take your breath away. A feeling of eternal peace will seem to set into you. That is really cool for the first impression. And the impression only kept getting better. The hotel staff was polite and friendly. The room was spacious and well kept. It also had a small back yard. The food was more than satisfying and the resort had ample choice for activity, recreation as well as relaxation. They have a swimming pool, a tennis court, an activity room with board games and fun things to do for adults as well as kids. Towards the evening, the management organizes some group activities in which you can participate if you feel like. Dinner is mostly served in the outdoors after these activities have ended. We had gone on the new-year eve, so we also got to see the splendid fireworks. There are also small gardens here and there with hammocks so that you can just laze around if you don\'t want to do anything but just relax. If you want to go site seeing, the heritage cities of Hampi and Belur Halebidu are at pretty short distances from the resort. The theme of this resort is to give the effect of a Village. So, the rooms are styled and architected to reflect the same and come through pretty well. The surroundings also keep up with the theme. They also have a musician cum magician and also a guy who carves rock into various idols right in the resort! According to me, this is an ideal place to unwind or as a weekend getaway from the maddening regular city life. I highly recommend it.
Any long weekend in Bangalore and families start looking out for destinations to explore esp if it kid's vacation time. So we found ourselves in the same situation1st May 2015 long weekend, son's vacation and not left many choices as most of the hill stations were overbooked. Then one colleague suggested this 'Hoysala Village Resort'. We checked with them and booked Suite room for 2 nights. We reached the resort around 12. 00 p. M. And were welcomed by a courteous staff. They applied vermilion on our forehead and gave marigold garlands. Property is well maintained and we headed to our rooms after the payment formalities. They have good greenery on the resort and good open space for recreation. Our Suite room was spacious and well kept. However they could improvise on the bathroom. All the meals are included in the package and the spread is really good. Especially the live counter where they serve authentic Karnataka cuisine. We simply loved the taste of the all dishes served in the live counter. Restaurant staff was courteous. They even had live music played during Dinner which added to the ambiance. One attraction of the resort is the Live Performance which is held in the evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed the traditional dance by local artists and Bharatnatyam by school kids. I terms of amenities they have couple of indoor games and a small library too. We did not like the pool much as it was much smaller than expected. Overall experience in the resort was awesome. We enjoyed the trip despite hot weather. I strongly recommend this resort to fellow travellers.
My wife and I drove down to Hoysala Village from Bangalore and this was one of our best holidays. It just couldn\'t have been better. We were taken care of from the time we got down from the car. The check was smooth and were told who we could reach out to in case of any help that we needed.
Per day tariff of the room was around 9000 rupees. My overall experience in the hotel was good. Location wise, the hotel was located 10 km far from the city and it was situated on the Belur road and near to the temple. I did book my room directly. Check in and check out facility was not delayed. Overall services were very nice and staff behaviour was also fine. Ambiance of the hotel was fantastic. Appearance of the hotel was very nice. Night music, swimming pool, spa and other activities were available there. Room was spacious and well furnished and all basic amenities were available in room. Villa type resort was available in the hotel. Food facility was available there with veg and non-veg varieties. Quality and variety wise, the food was nice. It was a relaxation trip with group in July month 2014. They served welcome drink on arrival. I can recommend this hotel to other travellers. Hassan as a tourist place is excellent.
We are based in Bangalore and were looking for 2-3 days relaxing holiday’s destination. As we are active travelers in last two years, we had already exhausted the regular Ooty/Coorg/Mysore stuff. One of our friends suggested Hoysala Village resort, and the temples around there. It was easy to find information about the resort, though it was bit expensive but as it belongs to Trails Group we thought it will be worth it. First thing about Bangalore-Hoysala Village resort is the road; driving is fun especially if it is not very hot, roads are good and less traffic. Other thing is temples, nearby to the resort but probably I’m not right person to comment on these sculptures as I m not knowledgeable enough to comment on. Service and staff are on par of 4-star hotel and they are very hospitable. Food is good especially if there are not many guests around. They don’t have buffet lunch/dinner, just a-la carte.
