Best place to stay in Manali amongst all.

6.8/7
Posted 23 Apr, 2016

It was one of the best hotel i have stayed time in my life. Everything was great out of the box. Location appearance rooms all were A1 at a very reasonable price. Service was great and staff was too helpful and suggestive. even the manager was good in nature. Re creational activities can leave you busy at your stay timings. Enjoyed a lot with a great view from balcony. Peaceful.

I visited this place early also but this time I booked swiss tent in this complex. Location ias excellent. Tents were also surprisingly very good though not expected. Other facility like swiming pool, food etc. was the issue. Good for rough and tough people. Not good for honeymooners.

Overall a good experiences

4.4/7
Posted 3 Dec, 2015

I stayed in Manali for three days,of that two days I spend in Log huts i already booked there long back. the locations is little far away from the city center, either depend a cab or auto to reach there, itself lost the charm of stay. We were a family of four with my wife and two school going kids. i expected a posh stay,in fact the ambiance is suitable for a honeymoon couple rather than a small family like us. The front office was excellent and very helpful, the rooms were wooden appearance with somewhat unique, but there is a clear cut sarkari touch for everything, that was little annoying as the amount you spend was little in higher than a posh hotel anywhere in Manali. There were not much activities except for a camp fire, that itself they charge Rs 500 extra for logs. there is nothing complimentary, no food, no drinks, everything you will get by paying. still the food was too good. There were two rooms with good and spacious bathrooms and a kitchen with halls in the hut, facility of cooking was there, but who will take the headache while in travel? The taps in the kitchen were little scary as bit old and rusty. still if you are a recently married couples, I like to prefer this as it gives ample privacy and good feel. otherwise better to choose any hotels nearby the mallroad or bustand in the Manali. Have a pleasant stay.

A nice hotel to stay at Manali

5.6/7
Posted 10 Nov, 2015

Last year myself with my family and a friend with his family visited manali. A place of natural beauty. During my stay it was so cold , and ice everywhere, even below the hotel beside river. We enjoyed our stay there. Hotel situation is nice. But the behavior of few stuff including the receptionist was painful to us. Hope they might improved their behavior by this time.

Good hotel with clam environment

4.8/7

Hptdc log huts are the best if planning with family of four or 6 persons. Complete peace of mind with absolutely no disturbance. The entries woody floor and room will give you a real feel of staying in Mountain. The only little drawback is that you need to walk on steep roads if you want to have morning stroll which will give one a closest feel with Deodars.

The location of the hotel was convenient to approach. The hotel had provided a parking facility. The surrounding of the hotel was clean and tidy. The interior and exterior appearance of the hotel was well decorated. The staffs at the hotel were kind and active. There was no delayed in check in and checkout procedure. The room allocated to me was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. All the amenities like AC, TV, geyser and refrigerator were functioning properly. The hot and cold water facility was provided by the hotel. The laundry service was there at the hotel. The Wi-Fi facility was provided by the hotel. The bed sheets, pillows and blankets were kept neat and cleaned. I was not able to see any special view from my balcony. The food facility was good in taste and the price was affordable. There were variety of food was served at the hotel. The activities were not organized by the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for other travellers.

The hotel was bit expensive

3.6/7
Posted 8 Dec, 2014

I had a bad experience in the hotel. The hotel was situated far from the market. There was not much sufficient staff present in the hotel. I did not face any difficulty while check in and checkout procedure. The room was spacious. I felt that the hotel was a bit costly. I also had an issue with the hot water. The hotel did not provide us the hot water on demand. I had gone there with my family. I did not find any activity in the hotel. The hotel should reduce its price little bit.

Manali is a great vacation place, but it could end...

5.5/7

Manali is a great vacation place, but it could end up being crowded in any season and we wanted to avoid that. From that perspective, Log huts offered a fabulous retreat. Nestled away in quietness, far and yet close to the Mall road, they are very good for a lazy vacation. We enjoyed our walks on the log hut road and that one road alone offered some of the best food and drink options in Manali. The hotel is also located close to the Beas and the famous Hadimba temple, both a walk away. The best parts were the private cottages with their own lawns, where you could enjoy your morning tea looking out to the Himalyas.

Good experience

6.8/7

It was a great experience to stay into log hut. It was the kind of premier log hut just opposite the booking office. It is so beautifully designed that it seems to be a home away from home. We were having two kids along with us. Interior was excellent with all the homely facilities. It was a spacious hut with two bedrooms with attached latbath, drawing, dining, kitchen and what not. Opposite to the hut were the snowladen mountains overlying the hills of Manali and down was the view of bias river flowing in a musical note all the time. It is beyond words to explain the beauty we enjoyed there. A marvellous piece of tranquility was presented.......just go, stay and live the nature........what a paradise on earth.
