Awesome place for comfort stay

Posted 18 Jan, 2016

Hyatt Regency is a best hotel in Ahmedabad. It is located near to the mall alphaone and it has awesome construction in design. The hotel is one that offers best services and food. If i talk about the room it is very awesome and i don't want to go home after seeing that room. The bed is so flexible and my grandma slept comfortably. I loved my experience in Hyatt Regency.

Hyatt Regency-Not that great experience

Posted 18 Jun, 2017

Location- Was Not good, road was blocked due to ongoing metro work. Also, Ashram road space is more of commercial space and less for leisurely travel. Entrance, Reception- The interior was Not that great. Looked a bit congested too. That leisurely and comfy feel was missing. Staff at reception- was cooperative and amicable. Tried to solve problems if any. Room- The room was spacious and comfortable, but the room was also a bit corporatist with a Big office table and a Big intercom phone kept inside room. We went with family and could not find any use of that. Infact, it only made us feel less at-home. Television- Offered only very few channels. This stupid Hotel Channel was entered as Default settings, so every time we switched off, it would start from Hotel Channel and would do buffering if we select Guide option. It was Pretty bad experience, because I love to sit back and watch movies late in night and have music channels on when I wake up. Breakfast- Was good with lots of options. Fruits options were limited though. They had very few options in Breads. The buffet breakfast was spread over a very long area and it was tiring to go over for picking things. Swimming pool- Water was very refreshing and pool was great. Changing rooms were also very nice. Overall- I feel it was more suited for official trips but Not suitable for family leisurely trips. The reception area itself gives look of a Corporate office, with Bland Colours like grey and missing the life colours like Beige, orange, etc Comparatively, HYATT HOTEL, in Vastrapur has great interior and reception space, which will make you instantly fall in love with place. Interiors need to attract you and make you want to come again. But I found that missing in Hyatt Regency-atleast not for family leisurely trips.

Luxurious stay with amazing world class amenities

Posted 5 Feb, 2016

Amazing world class amenities of stay and leisure, i love the hospitality, customer satisfaction and customer centric skills of staff. It was a superb luxurious stay with World class in house stuff and i love the food and Internet speed, Cricket stadium and city view. The washroom and bathroom is to die for with their amazing and splendid toiletries and various kits to chose from, of course not forgetting the rain dance. Last but not the least it is a bit expensive, but definitely worth the money. I Would like to try out the Spa and Chai House next time as was in a lot of assignments this visit. Also keep a watch for discounted rates round the clock, i was lucky to get 50 % off.

Fantastic hotel in the middle of the city

Posted 20 Dec, 2015

I stayed for more than a month at this hotel on a business trip. This hotel was very easy access. Just 10-15 minutes from the Airport and in the middle of the city. The staff were very courteous with their guests and willing to take care of all requests. The food could have been better, especially in terms of variety. The rooms were great. Some rooms had great views of the river. Very comfortable and spacious. Overall, a very good hotel for business and leisure visitors. The hotel is also very close to landmarks like the Gandhi Aashram, River front.

Great property with inadequate service

Posted 4 Jan, 2017

We stayed here for 3 nights over the new year period. We took 2 interconnected rooms for our family, booked through an online travel site which was giving a better rate. The hotel seems new and is in a good location. The check in was very slow as there was some function going on at that time and the lobby was very crowded. The lobby is small for such a huge hotel, there was not enough chairs for guests waiting to check in! Even though I had requested the valet staff to park my car in the basement, they kept it outside the premises for first couple of days. Some of the valet/security staff were impolite and always looked for tips. Most of the other staff looked like trainees and had no idea about most of the requests. One of our interconnected rooms got locked with the key inside but it took them 2 hours and many calls to sort it out. The solution was to call the security who had the master key and unlock the main door. The rooms were very spacious and beds/pillows were comfortable. We had a partial view of the river. Housekeeping was pretty efficient. The breakfast buffet was very good but the room service for dinner was pretty bad. The biryani was tasteless and the naans were chewy.
